Seafood Jambalaya recipe

A hearty, savory dish inspired by traditional Cajun Jambalaya, this heavy tomato stew features chunks of delicate shrimp and salmon and is seasoned with spicy chorizo and zesty Andouille sausage. Easy to prepare and surprisingly delicious this simple seafood stew will be popular with everyone at the table.


  • 8 oz. frozen shrimp
  • 6 oz salmon, chopped
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 8 oz Andouille sausage, chopped
  • 3 oz. chorizo sausage
  • 1 c. cooked Jasmine rice
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • ¼ tsp cayenne powder
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried parsley flakes
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a large casserole dish and set aside.

  2. In large Dutch oven saute sausage and onion until onion is aromatic and tender, about 8 minutes.

  3. Add all remaining ingredients to dutch oven and bring to a simmer. Transfer to baking dish and bake, uncovered for 30 minutes.

  4. Cook 15 minutes and serve.
